My second most favorite thing behind traveling is shopping.  With exchange rates at 3:1 in Peru, being able to buy lots of souvenirs to bring back was super fun.

The little Peruvian doll and textiles were all handmade and the coca candy for my friends was a must.

If You Can’t Stop Thinking About It – Buy It!

No tour of the silver mines is complete, without the purchase of a beautiful necklace.  The one I chose, represents all the important things I love about the Incan Culture – The Incan Cross (also known as the chakana), Astrological Calendar, Mother Earth, & The Circle Of Life.  When buying silver in Peru, make sure the purity of the silver is 9.75 or above .

I Would Give Up Shopping, But I Am Not A Quitter

My ultimate favorite, though, is the baby alpaca sweater.  This item is pure luxury. When visiting Cusco, make sure you buy your baby alpaca from a reputable vendor to get the highest quality. It’s best not to souvenir shop from street vendors, as quality is often poor.

I also collect stones from all my different travels.  I look and search for the perfect ones that speak to me. The ones that contain positive energies and just the right colors / shapes I am looking for. Do you see the heart on the little stone? I especially love heart-shaped ones. The little pins were handmade by the children on the day we spent celebrating The Sun Festival.
