Every dining experience in Peru offers a unique experience, this place stood out. Restaurante Tunupa was one of my favorite places. We had a great time with friends enjoying a meal that day.
From the moment you walked through the colorful entrance, you felt welcomed. The beautifully crafted organic buffet had so many delicious options to choose from. Everything about this place was spectacular.
This restaurant, located alongside the Urubamba River, was the perfect backdrop for the afternoon.
We had a table for 8 outside within perfect earshot of the fabulous Peruvian musician. The weather was a clear, sunny, yet crisp 65 degrees. In the backyard, the llama, vicuña, and baby alpaca were grazing on the green grass.
Because our tour guide kept us ahead of the crowds, we were the first guests to have a taste of each dish. Fresh sushi, soup, alpaca, pasta, organic fruits & veggies, and carved meat carving and soup stations were just some of the delicious choices.
The ceviche, OMG, so fresh! They make it right in front of you and they have everything available, so you can choose what you like, to create your own amazing plate of mouthwatering goodness.
There was every traditional Peruvian dessert you could possibly imagine to choose from, and you couldn’t help but sample a little bit of each one. By the time we finished this meal, we were definitely rolling out the door.
