Last stop of the day . . .
Cafe Inkaterra is located next to the train tracks in Aguas Calientes. First class all the way, this place provided a much needed resting place. After a full morning hiking Machu Picchu, we were hungry and ready to eat.
We started with the asparagus creamed soup. The homemade croutons was a special touch as well.
The menu offers local cuisine with international flair. The food is fresh and organic. Each dish looks straight out of a magazine.
There are many delicious items to choose from. It was hard to make a decision. I finally chose the lomo saltado with golden french fries.
- The service is friendly and accommodating.
A few minutes walk from Machu Picchu train station, this five-star hotel is set on five acres of gardens. On my next visit to Aquas Calientes, I want to stay Inkaterra Hotel. This first-class facility offers amazing tour packages. Inkaterra has the rustic charm of an Andean Village. The landscaping is quite lovely. Hotel Inkaterra has several properties throughout Cusco and each one offers a wide variety of free and paid services.
